Every girl deserves to be a princess. And she doesn’t need any prince to make it happen. Just imagination and a sense of adventure. (And in the case of this particular session, a hearty behind-the-scenes team.) This year, I had the absolute thrill of working with my beautiful team of West Linn High School senior reps to dream up and bring to life a new interpretation of Disney princesses. And the results were so far beyond what I dared dream they would be.
To my gorgeous Snow White (Kelly), Belle (Kennedy), Ariel (Cassie) and Tinkerbell (Xandria) – thank you from the bottom of my heart for not only channeling the strong, independent characters we’d discussed, but also for working with me all these months through endless text messages and rehearsals. You were more than reps; you became my team. I hope you’ll cherish these photos for years to come!

As for the other AMAZING team members, thank you, as well, for bringing this vision to life. They included the incredibly talented Alison Mann – hairstylist extraordinaire who added her signature and inventive touch to these iconic figures. Molly Sweeney and Kiera Bolden (Faces by Kiera), our phenomenal makeup artists who created such gorgeous and ethereal looks for each of our girls. (And in some cases went far beyond the call of duty to bring this vision together!) Mary Tarbell, the Style Therapy maven who is beautiful on the inside and out, and who elevated the girls’ looks with incredible styling touches I couldn’t have imagined, but that made such a huge difference. A huge shout-out to my patient intern, Cole, who ran back and forth to get gear and act as a second, third, fourth and fifth set of hands when I needed. And finally my most heartfelt thanks to my darling friend Kristen; my husband Rick and my kids, Zach (who acted as chauffeur, gopher and Peter Pan for me!) and Alexis (who stepped in as another model at the last second), who helped make this all possible. It was a huge production, but so beyond worth it – as these photos will attest.
